WHAT ARE YOU ALLERGIC TO?
Gaining information about your Eczema is really important. The first question I often ask people is “Do you know what you are allergic to”.
I’ve been through the whole raft of tests from medical doctors – skin prick testing as well as blood tests. I highly recommend getting these done so you can at least know what your body is over reacting to. My allergies are: Cats, Dogs, Horses, Pollens, Dust-mites, Grasses, I’ve also had hair analysis testing done.
I think this can be fantastic if some of your key allergens are from foods. Even though I’ve never actually been tested for Gluten, I choose to eat very little of it. I feel so much better, have so much more energy and am not nearly as puffy when I don’t eat gluten. To be honest my stomach puffs up like I’m 20 months pregnant if I eat it now! Nowadays it is really easy to find great Gluten Free bread that is a wonderful alternative to normal bread.
For example say to yourself “I am going to go dairy free for two weeks and see if it makes a difference”. There are so many great alternatives out there and wonderful resources to support you with this journey.
I’ve seen amazing results from people who have taken out key allergens from their diets and found it really makes a big difference.
It’s really good to work with a great Naturopath to help you on this leg of the journey.
